MOSAIC Student Artist Program exhibition Posterworks at Axis Gallery
Posterworks is the MOSAIC Student Artist Program's first exhibition in California. The artwork included in Posterworks is a reflection on current events and the devastation the COVID-19 virus has had on our communities and personal lives. As our lives are disrupted and the pandemic takes an unprecedented toll on our mental health, these brave student artists use posters to comment on the issues affecting their lives and the communities they inhabit.

The Contemporary Film Series: BURDEN HALVED (2020)
In the latest installment of Blue Star Contemporary and Ruby City's collaboration The Contemporary Film Series, the organizations will debut BURDEN HALVED (2020) a new film by artists Lara Schnitger and Katy McNamee. The film will screen repeatedly online on the organization's Facebook pages September 7 - 10, 2020. A panel discussion featuring the artists and faciltated by Ruby City Executive Director Elyse Gonzalez and BSC Curator and Exhibitions Manager Jacqueline Saragoza McGilvray will be online via Zoom on September 7, 2020 at 6:00pm CST.

Artist Workshop with Andrei Renteria
Inspired by arrangements of dried, pressed flowers & greenery, artist Andrei Renteria will guide participants in drawing and watercolor technique. Participants will contribute individual drawings of flowers on postcards that will be collaged to create a panorama suggesting the rhythm and energy of growing forms through a variety of shapes and marks.
