Located south of Contemporary at Blue Star in San Antonio, TX is a 1,200 acre living “land museum,” dedicated to preserving archeological, cultural, educational, environmental, historical and recreational resources for residents of, and visitors to, south Texas. Among the offerings at this unique site are public art installations, including Ansen Seale’s Corn Crib. Ansen Seale will tour us through this special site, as well as his Tricentennial Clock, a kinetic sculpture, complete with moving gears, a swinging pendulum, and weights, sited in the historic Roatzsch-Griesenbeck-Arciniega house.

Guests will be treated to a chuck wagon dinner at the Land Heritage Institute after hiking the approximate one-mile rugged nature trail to the site of Ansen’s Corn Crib. Comfortable walking shoes and outdoor clothing are necessary.

Tickets: $75 per person and includes transportation, drinks, and dinner. Space is limited. Reserve your ticket online. Contemporary at Blue Star members enjoy 10% off ticket price.

For more information or to reserve your space, please contact Education Manager Mari Hernandez at (210) 227-6960 or mari@contemporarysa.org.
